Thank yall so much!!!! i hope this is finally our sticky bean!!! : )
Congrats!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! :)
That's such an exciting story of yours!!!
Congratulations!!!
I don't think it would hurt to do progesterone treatment and if your doc doesn't want to give you more - then find another doc!!! IF you have a history of low prog. then it is not going to hurt to take the supplements. Get on them girl!! No "what ifs"!!!
Thank you all so much girls!!! i really really appreciate everyones thoughts/prayers, opinions etc!!!! : ) i do have a question my progesterone just came back and its 15 (i'm not on any supplement.- but typically do have low progesterone) my dr said it was good, anything over 10, but i'm nervous.. i like to see it over 20!!! do yall think i should just start the supplements anyways, i already have them, we will recheck in 2 days, but in the past when this happened that was too late!
Keep me posted please, I am praying for you!
Oh my CONGRATS!! YAY for your BFP, this time the meds will help the sticky bean!!! I am really happy and excited for you!!! I wil pray for a very sticky baby!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW, I think you made the right choice! I totally agree, why risk it?! hanging at home relaxing and feeling your belly will be worth it!!! you will enjoy the time even more than going away and worrying about the what if...
Again, CONGRATS!!!!!
Ooooppppssss. Took me so long to type my post with distractions with the kids I didn't see you had posted your decision!!! GOOD LUCK - I think you have def done the right thing. Take care and look after yourself and congratulations again! xx
Firstly many congratulations on you BFP!!! Wow you must be on top of the world!! Have you decided what you are doing about your ski-ing trip - did you get any medical reasons why you should not be at altitude?? If it helps I used to be cabin crew flying at altitudes of 37,000 feet everyday (although I was restricted to short-haul) and did so with both my children up until I was 14 weeks. The only thing I would add is how do you feel about being away from home in your first trimester? We went on holiday to Spain in August and flew out when I was just coming up to 12 weeks pregnant... 2 days before I was due to fly back to the UK I started bleeding. We went to the local hospital only to be told I was having a miscarriage... We were in termoil as what to do as the hospital did not speak english which made it distressing. We called the midwives back in the UK and they advised us to rest up to 'delay' loosing the baby abroad which we did and I had managed to hang on and M/C back in the UK. I am not blaming the flying for the M/C - as flew before with my 2 children - it was just obviously not my time to be blessed with another child. Knowing what I went through I would not want to wish that on anyone and if/when I conceive again I will not be going on holiday during my first trimester again. Hope that helps xxx
YAY YAY YAY!!!!! Congrats!!!! That is the best news ever and all on your own!!! Wow!!!
We are hoping for a natural bfp ourselves b4 we start another FET.
YAY!!!
Thank you girls so very much! yalls opinions and thoughts mean so much to me!! well after talking it through with my mother and dh and looking online at altitude and pregnancy etc.. we just don't want to risk it.. i just don't want to say what if.. also in times like these we need to save money , and at least we can get most of it refunded.. so we'll be hanging out at home! : ) the past summer we went on a "pre-ivf" trip, but had gotten pregnant, and really regret spending all the money on the vacation ( i ate tons of food and threw it all up! and ending up loosing the pregnancy even though we took it super easy) so even if things go badly at least we'll be saving money instead of spending more i guess! and if things go well its SOOOOOOO worth it!!!! THANKS GIRLS!!!!
BNY: WOOOOO-HOOOOO!!!! I am sooo happy for you!! We had to take this month off due to a cyst also, but I know I won't get any surprises lol - I have to take BCP's lol!
Anyways, I wouldn't chance the flying...that's just me being safe and paranoid though. I'm not sure about the whole altitude thing and blood thinners either. I would just rather not chance it.
Congrats again!!!!
I am with raray on this one....I read that high altitudes is not a very good thing to be in while pregnant in general, especially in first and last trimester....so I wouldn't go but its up to you, I am sure you will be fine!
Hey i had 2 m/cs right after i left togo back home in the U.S and after like 2wks later the doctor told me i had an m/c. i don't want to scary you and there are still ongoing research going regarding flying and first trimester fetus but if i was you i would cancel until i get a heartbeat everything is ok and you can go with a peace of mind. I know you have had 4m/cs and really wants this little bean to stick so i would do my absolutely best to allow it to stick. the docs always say its fine but i would just put myself on a level just by myself and just make sure that everything is perfect. But whatever you choose have fun and drink lots and lots of water on the flight and walk alot.
I went through this same thing I had a ski trip planned at 12,000 ft. I did tons of research just incase and they say you shouldn't exercise at high altitudes, but just hanging out won't be a problem.
Take a good book and drink lots of water! Have fun.
Congrats on ur BFP. You are truly deserving. I hope I can join you soon.
I used to live in Santa Fe, at the altitude of 7000 and noone mentioned it was a problem for pregnancy. Altitude sickness is just a very bad headache that some people get when they travel to places like Santa Fe. It's not pleasant but it goes away in a few hours.
The only worry I have is with the blood thinners and the thinner air at high altitudes, you are at a greater risk of passing out. So, I wouldn't be worried about anything else...
PS: I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!! :) YAY!!!
i talked to the nurse this morning and she said it should be fine, but she didn't actually ask the dr about the altitude and everything.. he wasn't in the office at the time.. so i feel bad calling and asking them to ask him for sure.. not sure if they for sure would talk to him, i wish i could talk to him directly.. i did call my regular obgyn and left a message, so we'll see what she says
I'm so excited that you got a BFP, me next please!
I would call the doctor to make sure. Tell him your worries and see what he says.
thanks girls!!! the flying isn't worrying me quite as much as the staying at a high altitude.. i think we'll be staying at 8-9 thousand feet or so the whole time.. i read online it is like scuba diving that it "may" cause harm.. eeek.. i never used to be such a worry wart!!
Many...many...many congrats!!!!!
