We have one good follicle

Hi. On day 12 of cycle,went for transvaginal scan today and we have one follicle that the nurse said looks good and has fluid around it and I'm going to local surgery next wk to check for ovulation,got blood tests on day 18 and 21 of cycle. Trying to be positive. How many follicles has anyone had whilst taking clomid? On 8th cycle with clomid now n on 1st cycle I had 2 follicles,wonder if I'm not responding to it as well this time round?  Still awaiting new appointment date for ivf cosultation after they messed it up last monday.Good luck all,clomidkid x x x x x

All it takes is one fat juicy one! In a normal cycle only one follicle releases an egg (dominant follicle). On a medicated cycle you can get more. But, one is all it takes. I think it is probably a good thing. With too many, you can end up with nasty cysts, like pp said. It happened to me, too. Good luck, it won't be long now!

Hello~!!~ I was on CLomid my very FIRST IUI months ago ~ ended up with MAJOR cysts ~ thewn they tried to push Donor Eggs without trying injectibles ~ asked for injectibles ~ went months on them ~ and this last time (started last Thurs) went on Clomid 200 for ONE day ~ went to new PROFESSIONAL RE and he took me off Clomid immediately asked why they would ven pout me on it ~ promptly put me back on injectibles now I have Left: 21.6; 13.8; 14.3; 7.8; 6.3 ~ and Right: 24.4; 13.2; 8.1; 22.9; 19.1 ~ Endometrium Thickness ~ 10.6 ~ going tomorrow for first of two IUI's ~ girls at NEW RE'S office are excited I reacted so well ~ and I am just SO ANGRY I went to the other "RE" ~ it was more like they were just taking the money and not even helping anyone ~ can NOT wait to lodge a complaint against them ~ AFTER I get pregnant with the new (cuter) RE....~ BEST of lkuck ~ do NOT give up ~ the girls on this site are really great ~ they will give you a oush when you need to start asking more questions to direct your RE in the right direction ~ like Helen asked ~ what dose are you on..??.. ~ I ALWAYS reseaerch the heck out of EVERYTHING ~ and since on this site probably ask TOO MANY questions of the doctor & staff ~ BUT these girls & staff are probanly the BEST ~ they actually talk to you and explain things instead of just being snotty brats.....

How much clomid are you taking?  100mg??

I've never taken clomid, only femara and only got one follie last time (which i think is normal with femara)   Just remember it only takes one right??   GOOD LUCK! i hpoe that you don't have to go thru with the IVF i hope you can get that BFP now!
