ha ha! Yeah, I would do it, but can't afford it right now. I think I'm going to try and start doing it when I get BFP (to help keep it?). It's expensive, but I have never heard anyone say anything bad about it you know? I tried it once... honestly, you cannot feel the needles(i hate, hate, hate needles too!) , but she lived way to far away to keep going back. I just wish it wasn't so Dang expensive! Why is everthing to do with this so expensive?
How are you feeling today? Wonderful I hope! : ) I'm still praying for you girl!
Thanks for the tip! I will definitely try...I love pineapple and did eat a lot during the retrieval/transfer/2ww but not the core.
MHV, I am terrified of needles and IVF was hard enough for me to endure. I don't think there is anyway that needles could be theraputic for me but thank you for the suggestion...I have heard it does work for many people!
Just checking in to see how your doing? Haven't heard from you in a while and just checking in.
thanks for the tip! I think i will try it : )
allgood427~ have you thought about calling an accupucturist? Maybe they could help??
I found this:
So I have done some research, and have found that Pineapple core helps with Implantation of the embryo.Pineapple Core has what is called bromelain that will help with implantation.
Using Pineapple to Assist Implantation: Pineapple contains bromelain. Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme that breaks up proteins that inhibit embryo implantation. Consuming a whole pineapple (focusing on the core as it has the highest concentration of Bromelain) during a fertility cycle can be beneficial.
For IVF [in vitro fertilization] cycle: one pineapple, divided into 5 portions - consume one portion each day, over five days, beginning on the day of your embryo transfer.
IUI [intra-uterine insemination] cycle: one pineapple, divided into 5 portions - consume one portion each day, over five days, beginning on the day of your IUI.
Timed intercourse cycle: one pineapple, divided into 5 portions - consume one portion each day, over five days, beginning on the day after ovulation.
Note: Be careful not to start consuming pineapple too early in the cycle. Beginning to consume pineapple BEFORE the recommended days above can actually affect your vaginal and cervical mucus PH, making it more acidic.
The core isn't always pleasant to eat, but it contains bromelain, which is what is thought to aid implantation. You can eat all the pineapple you want, though! If there is a Trader Joe's near you, they also have a pineapple enzyme supplement by the vitamins (super inexpensive) that you could try. I know for some people it's just hype, but I figured it wouldn't hurt me, so why not?
I also ate tons of leafy greens since my doc said it could help build a thick uterine lining.
Um... what else? Help me ladies! Pomegranate juice... mucinex... only warm drinks... there so many "tricks" and old wive's tales, and other such things that may or may not help, but the ones that won't hurt anything, I figure why the heck not try them?
