IVF in January

I wanted to start a thread for people starting IVF in January.  I'm already on birth control and doing the catheter trial next Friday.  My doc says I will start the Lupron shots on Jan. 20th.  Anyone else in the same boat?

I heard that the core of pinapple helps with implantation. The core isn't always pleasant to eat, but it contains bromelain, which is what is thought to aid implantation. If there is a Trader Joe's near you, they also have a pineapple enzyme supplement by the vitamins (super inexpensive) that you could try. I know for some people it's just hype, but I figured it wouldn't hurt me, so why not?

Eat tons of leafy greens to help build a thick uterine lining.

Well, 3rd beta this morning and my numbers actually went up?!?!?  Now at 168, which is double from the 85 I had on Friday.  RE thinks I might have had a delayed implantation which would have caused the stall in the numbers and now the rise.  He wants us to continue meds and we go back Thursday for another blood test.  I don't think he's incredibly optimistic but he still thinks there could be a chance.  I am so happy and excited, but also cautious b/c 168 is low for 3 weeks after the retrieval and I'm so worried that it will still end badly.  The longer this is drawn out, the worse it gets to stand!  I dont' know how I'm going to wait until Thursday!

Has anyone ever been in this situation???  I just need one person to give me hope!

Also, is there anything I can do (food, exercise, etc) that is supposed to help with implantation and growth?

I am so sorry....don't give up hope....I will be praying for better numbers for you on Monday....you just never know....  :)

Second beta yesterday, numbers didn't change so looks I'm going to lose it.  My RE wants me to keep taking the meds and go back on Monday for one more test.  I'm losing hope fast and was wondering if anyone has ever had a Beta stall like that and it end up being a good thing?  Please, someone say yes.
