I've read that a bunch of women early in their pregnancies have had horrible foul-smelling gas. I now know what that means.

Tonight, while sitting on the couch desperately trying to unravel the huge mess of yarn I created, I started having gas cramps. My husband was sitting across the room at the computer.

Well, when you've got to let one, you've got to let one, right ladies?

So, I let one rip (sorry) and I could NOT believe the odor that emitted from me. Oh my God!!! Within a few seconds my DH got a whiff (understatement!!!)

After a few of these "explosions" we heard a loud sound coming from the other side of our condo. We could not figure out what it was. We soon realized it was the FRIGGING SMOKE ALARM!!! And it went off not once, but TWICE!!!

I can't help but think this is the most bizarre and funniest thing that has ever happened to me.

Haha, are you sure it wasnt the carbon monoxide dector??? lol!! When I was pg, I ate some shrimp seasoned with old bay and it gave me terrible gas. I was laying on the loveseat and let one go and it smelled so bad that I gagged and threw up some. I never ate old bay after that! Funny stuff!! Try not to set off any more alarms!!

LOL!! That's hysterical! Dh is probably wondering how long this is going to go on for, lol. One time after dh was asleep, I figured it was safe and let it go. The cat was asleep on the bed, woke up and sniffed the air, then started scratching like he was trying to bury it! lol I only made it to 12wks, but it got worse week by week.

I thought it was maybe the carbon monoxide detector, but we have a "talking" smoke/carbon monoxide combo and it clearly said, "There is smoke in the hallway. There is smoke in the hallway."

We were in the living room. We were in the living room.

I am so proud of myself. I am a strong and powerful woman!

that's really funny! any time i let "one rip".. my dh says, " babe, pretty girls don't fart"...lol... wait until he gets a whiff of what's to come! lol

Wow!  That's SOME gas!!  Just make sure you steer clear of the oven pilots or any open flames when you let them rip!!

I am still a little gaseous this morning, but nothing like last night.

I'm researching OB's today. I need to get my blood work done. I live in Boston and the hospitals here are amazing.
