Is anyone starting IVF in October 2008?

I was looking for others to communicate with during my first IVF cycle.  I will begin Lupron on Wednesday October 22.  I went through 4 failed IUI's this summer.  I am 34 years old.  I have a daughter who will turn 3 next month.  She was finally conceived after almost 4 years of ttc and a laparoscopy for me and varicocele repair for my husband.  I have all my medications sitting here waiting for the next month.  Our embryo transfer should occur the week before Thanksgiving so we should know if we're pregnant by Dec. 10.  I am excited and hopeful, but realistic.  I know this procedure only carries a 50% success rate for any given cycle.  Any others out there starting IVF soon?  Add me as a friend and we'll keep in touch!

Congradulations!!! You must be filled with joy.  Very happy for you and your husband and i have a feeling you're having twins. W0W, you did it.Have a WONDERFUL pregnancy.

unfortunatley for me, right now im in alot of pain taking shots in the hips and i feel nausious everytime i get up to walk.  Also, even though i have confidence in my doctor, tomarrow will be 7 day blastocyst and what worries me is i don't find any procedures on a 7 day blastocyst on the internet.  i will see what happens tomarrow.

Lolagirl~I am so glad your egg fertilized.  That is such great news!

Jezebel~the shots are up until your pregnancy test and then for 6 more weeks if you a pregnant.  The first couple of nights my hips hurt a little but now I don't feel them at all.

BFP!!!!  BFP!!!!! Wow!  I broke down and peed on a stick tonight.  I am 5 and a half days past my 5 day blast transfer and I could not wait so I bought 6 pregnancy tests and decided to test every day up until my beta on Friday.  I used the First Response and there are definitely 2 lines!!!!!!  I was thinking, could this still be the trigger shot but I had my trigger shot 12 days ago.  I'm a little guarded and I will keep testing every day just to be sure.  I am so shocked and excited.  Will keep you all updated!  I'm going to try to post a pic of the pregnancy test!  Wow!
