Is anyone starting IVF in October 2008?

I was looking for others to communicate with during my first IVF cycle.  I will begin Lupron on Wednesday October 22.  I went through 4 failed IUI's this summer.  I am 34 years old.  I have a daughter who will turn 3 next month.  She was finally conceived after almost 4 years of ttc and a laparoscopy for me and varicocele repair for my husband.  I have all my medications sitting here waiting for the next month.  Our embryo transfer should occur the week before Thanksgiving so we should know if we're pregnant by Dec. 10.  I am excited and hopeful, but realistic.  I know this procedure only carries a 50% success rate for any given cycle.  Any others out there starting IVF soon?  Add me as a friend and we'll keep in touch!

Hi everyone.......OMG I'm pregnant my HCG was 332 and progesterone was 95. The nurse said both these numbers look awesome. My DH and I are super excited but I have to say I am still a little numb. We are just praying now that it sticks for 9 months. Good luck to everyone else.

I was still very sore when I went for my ET, I was so very bloated.  I promise you will feel better.  4 days after my embryo transfer I am still bloated but not sore anymore.  It took about 2 days after my embryo transfer for the soreness to wear off (the soreness was still from my egg retrieval 5 days prior to the transfer.  I developed early ovarian hyperstimulation, a mild form)  I gained only about 5 pounds of water weight but I was bloated looking like 5 or 6 months pregnant.  I still look pregnant but not as bad.  Just drink lots of water.  It does help.  I am drinking about 2 liters a day still.  Let us know how you are feeling over the next few days.  I bet you will be a little sore.

Hi, I got my transfer this morning because they said my embies are ready since out of 3, there are 2 looks gorgeous. I was so nervous because I though the transfer would be tomorrow sat. I regretted having a  heavy breakfast because I felt like passing motion when I reach there. And I did, they allowed me to go and I have to refill my bladder after that. So, girls going for ET ,have a light breakfast.
My soreness is not back to normal after the ER and had to complete the ET today. I felt terrible. Hope that I would get better soon.

Lots of love for everyone! Talk to you soon.

Wow thats great but I would be so scared of having multiples putting 6 embryos in can mean a max of 12 babies if they were all to stick and split. That would scare me to death. But hey if it sounds good to you thats awesome. Good luck and I'm sure you will be getting your BFP in 10 days.
