Helen:  Just want you to know that you are in my thoughts today.  It is your turn up to bat for the team -- swing for the fences.

Lisa:  As far as wwhich protocol will work for you, I can't really say.  I can give you a rundown of the two aggressive protocols they used for me thus far.

Antagonist protocol:
AF arrives
Monitor for LH surge with OPK
10 days after LH surge detected - apply estrogen patch.  Patch is changed every other day until next AF shows up. Once AF shows, last patch is left on until it falls off or for 5 days
11 Days after LH surge detected, three consecutive days of Ganirelix injections
(AF supposed to show up 2-3 days)
Day 2 of cycle begin 450 Follistim and 150 Menopur

Microdose Micro Flare) Lupron Protocol
BCPs for 14 days
Second day off of BCPS, go in for b/w (  Considered Cycle Day 1)
CD2 begin Microdose Lupron (MDL)  20 units AM, 20 units PM - continue every day until trigger
CD 4:  Add 450 Follistim and 150 Menopur injections in PM.

As far as bringing on AF - I just finished a 10 day course of Provera.  I didn't have any side effects - I'll let you know how long it takes to work for me.

JA, I hear you!  I have 3 stepdaughters (ages 17, 20 and 22) who are more than a bit demanding sometimes.  Ahhhh, teenagers...something for you to look forward to!

I'm CD24 & 11/12DPIUI ~ my RE told me not to test until Thursday ~ I cheated and did last night ~ of course way too early ~ BFN ~ tested again this morning hoping ~ got a really dark line and I think I had another line beside it but I couldn't really make it out ~ tried to take a stupid picture and it wouldn't turn out so I just said what will be will be ~ have too many other things going on ~ need to relax ~ my BBS are way to painful and the pangs I'm getting on both sides of my uterus happen too often not to mean something ~ never had these in the time I've been TTC ~ have the veins and all ~ just need to let things roll off instead of reacting from here on in ~ yesterday was a hard day for me ~ alot of stress ~ glad DH is back to work and daughter is back to school today so I can have a quiet day at home ~ ... ~ having her be an only child for 11yrs has made her a bit demanding at times, but I guess who can blame her ~ it was her Spring break and "we didn't go on vacation or anything ~ everyone at school went to Hawaii".....can't do everything.....

Sorry I can't give you any advice what with the names of the meds being all different... well... actually, hang on... I'll give it a try.  Hopefully this will make sense.
Okay, so first two times with the first doctor, I did 1 shot of Decapeptyl (or triptorelin or LHRH, which suppresses ovarian functions).  Both times I had to do half of a 3mg shot.
I did this on Day 18 of a standard round of b/c.
Then on day 3 of AF, I started Menogan (like Menopur, Puregon). This comes with powder ampoules and solvent ampoules.  The powder ones contain 75 I.U. of FSH and 75 I.U. of LH.  And the solvent comes as 1ml "isotonic sodium chloride solution and dilute hydrochloric acid for pH-adjutment".  I was doing 4 ampoules of powder with 2 of solvent for the first 6 days then I went to 3 and 1 for 2 days and then to 2 and 1 for 2 days.  Then I did Pregnyl (HCG), exactly 36 hours prior to the retrieval.  But I can't remember how many units!!  So sorry.

This last time, I did smaller amounts of Decapeptyl on a daily basis.  I think it was 0.1mg ever day but I don't remember when I started it.  Possibly on the first day of AF or before, sorry... can't remember.  I did about the same amount of Menogan or maybe a little less and the same trigger.
