Bleeding 12 days after IUI

Hello Im new to the community,

My husband and I have been trying for over 3 years with help. I had my first IUI 12 days ago. I took injectables and hcg shot. I was supposed to test for pregnancy on saturday but this morning I woke up and I am bleeding and have cramps seems like a period. I have pcos and never get my period regularly. My last was only 24 days ago. Is this my period or something else. I feel devistated. I really thought it worked ive had majorly swollen and tender breasts the last 3 days . this is not common for me. I thought it was a sign that it worked. Could i be miscarring ? it seems way to early for a period. I have done injectables many times before and never had these symtoms. this is the first cycle that i had enough viable follicles so it was the first iui and hcg shot. im really confused my dr had me take a blood test to see if im pregnant but i have to wait 24 hours to get the results and 48 before he will see me. Anyone have any suggestions. Im devistated and confused.........

yes maybe it is implantation bleeding.  Is it normal like you would get your period?

bny807 -- that is funny how you say that -- I am 10 dpiui today still debating on when to test -- but normally "negative" cycles by bbs hurt like a week before AF comes and I am due for af in about 4 days and my bbs dont hurt.  Hoping that this is all good.

hello and welcome!!!   Like heather said it could be implantation bleeding!!!! i hope that it is! how heavy is it??    I always say if something is different during a cycle from normal "negative" cycles then that could be a good thing, maybe its the change you need! so your in my prayers that its implantation!!!! good luck!

Sometimes the fertility meds can cause pregnancy symptoms like sore breasts, so it's hard to tell sometimes if it's real or just because of the meds. The fact that you had several mature follicles this month probably raised your progesterone levels, which tend to cause sore breasts. However, it does seem to be a little early for your period, especially since you've been on fertility meds. Does it seem like a normal period? Maybe it's implantation bleeding! I hope so...

Best of luck! Let us know when you get your blood test results!
