My Story

Hey everyone. I have been a long time reader of everyone's posts and they have helped me through some difficult times. I am 22 years old and my husband and I have been ttc for 2 years now. I have had two miscarraiges and one ectopic pregnancy just recently. I didn't lose my tube I was treated with methotrexate. After everything calmed down from that we went to a reproductive specialist who ran some tests and did an HSG just about two weeks ago. He discovered I have one blocked tube where the ectopic was located. However, he didn't seem too concerned about me being able to have children on my own. He told us to go home and try to get pregnant. I am so scared that I will have another ectopic on the left side even though I think the chances of that in a blocked tube are pretty low. Any suggestions on coping and what to do. I am currently 12 dpo and I'm not sure about taking a test just yet. Scared of aother let down. Anyone had success stories with one blocked tube?

Thanks everyone for all the responses!

byn807: The doctor said if I didn't get pregnant this cycle then next cycle starts to clomid to ensure I am ovulating or super ovulating as he said I seem to be ovulating normally so thas always a good start.

lisa1235: It was weird for me that right after I picked my period right back up where she left off. Its totally normal to have out of wack hormones. I got AF but when I went to the doctors it didnt show me ovulating right away. It sounds normal I have read just about everything there is to read about ectopic online and it took most women three months to get back on track. Thats why they tell you to wait. Don't panic I know its hard with everything we have gone through but God will see us through. Let me know how your appointment goes hun!

sorry to hear what you'v e been through!!  I only have one working ovary (therefore the other tube is useless obviously)  and we got preg! with many other problems! so its defintely possible! some people will have their bad side "clamped" off if it concerns you that much, but there is always a chance that it can work and make it all the way to your utuerus.. so not sure if thats the best option.. did the dr not give yall any meds or anytning, or say anything else??  haha, i totally understand your anxiety!  people say not to think about it, but how can we not think about it!!! GOOD LUCK!

I am so very sorry to read about your losses!  You went through some terrible times.

All you need is one tube to get pregnant.  The trick is to ovulate on your "good" side.  I hope this is your month!

Good luck!
