Tiffany, whatever is causing your pain, you may be able to improve your symptoms with digestive enzymes. We supposedly start to lose our natural production of digestive enzymes in our 30's, and they do so much for us, it would take a book to explain it all. I have eliminated most of my back pain (I'm 55) just by taking bromelain (a natural anti-inflammatory from pineapple) and protease enzymes with, and between meals.
Not all enzyme supplements are created equal; some are better than others. (I don't sell them, just love the benefits I get from them!)
Anyway, it's something inexpensive you might want to look into for some pain relief.
It would be worth the expense, in my opinion, to try craniosacral therapy also, if you can find a therapist in your area. fibromyalgia symptoms dot org has some craniosacral info.
Best Wishes for your recovery,
Enzy
Hi
Thanks for the replies. I haven't had my gallbladder tested but I'm assuming that one of the numerous blood test that I have had would have shown if there was something wrong there.
I do remember getting a nasty bang to the back of my neck in the December before all this started which happened during a dance class when someone ran full pelt into me and my partner. I was a bit shook up at the time and had to stop the dance class. Felt alright after but a few days later whilst walking had a terrific searing pain in the right side of my neck. I have had an MRI scan as at one point GP thought I had a trapped nerve but MRI was clear!
Haven't seen a rheumatologist but have had chest xrays, 2 vists with heart doctors and been put on the treadmill, gastro guy and had a camera investigation to rule out GERD. Numerous blood tests which have all come back normal.
One of the problems I do have is chest tightness when walking which is quite frightening. Doesn't happen all the time but when it happens I also get a very severe pain in the right shoulder blade.
Quite frustrating all this and I just wish someone could give me a definitive answer. I'm thinking that it's fibro because all the tests I have had have been normal and I seen to have so many similarities to what other people have posted. Problem is that a lot of my symptoms also point to depression which is what my GP seems to pick up on during visits.
This morning I am stiff right across top of back and neck, shoulder hurts when I move and my ribs are very sore, especially when moving. Some days are better than others. Guess I'll just have to keep searching for an answer.
Hi; I'm just wondering have you ever had your gallbladder tested?? The reason I ask is because you can have alot of pain in the shoulder and other area's. Also talking from just being "officially diagnosed" with fibro.. I do have alot of chest pain as well..My pain spots that are worse are my back of neck ,elbows, chest, shoulder, wrists, shins (cramping bad) feet cramp, fingers.. As if that isn't enough :( I hope that you can get to a rheumo soon and not have to go through all the numerous specialist that I and I am sure many others had to go to before finding answers. Good luck keep us posted!
Do you remember if your pain 2 years ago was preceded by an illness, such as flu symptoms, or if you had a fall, hit your head or tailbone, anything like that? Many pain syndromes begin after a flu-like illness or seemingly insignificant injuries.
It could be a neurological condition, MS comes to mind.
I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you. Have you seen a rheumatologist? You would get more specific testing there.
