Thank you all for the feebback--greatly appreciated..Id like to add that my anxiety went almost as quickly as it came, I still get little nervous stages, but nothing like I had before...I would say that I feel a little more fatigued and sore than usual as well as very irritable..dont know if that could be from the paxil I was on...In any case im off all meds and trying to live life the best I can..maybe one day this will go away..Been and had all the tests, thyroid, sugar, ECG, etc...they all come up saying im perfectly fine...flip..
Hi, cloet. Sorry that this has happened to you at such a young age. Of course, I am not a physician, but what you describe certainly sounds like fibromyalgia to me, and in my opinion it is quite possible--but maybe not wise-to work out intensely most days. All kinds of strange muscle and nerve sensations and pain go along with fms. So does insomnia, as well as irritable bowel syndrome. In my experience, stress and even panic attacks have frequently accompanied my fibromyalgia, and i know that depression is also common. I had a major episode of clinical depression many years before developing fibromyalgia, and many other people with fibromyalgia have also had bouts of depression, But I never have felt as stressed or as panicy as I have since developing fibromyalgia.
It is quite possible to work out strenuously with fibromyalgia, but that can be counter-productive. When I tried to exercise a lot in 2009 I developed a lot of pain but ignored the pain and kept pushing myself until finally I began a long, very painful flare-up and had to give up exercise for many months. So now I do exercise but I never push too hard. I have read that people with fibromyalgia do not recover from strenuous activity as quickly as others do. Of course, I am also much older than you, since I am almost 68. But I would advise you to take time to relax and perhaps learn some relaxation techniques or try yoga to relieve stress. I think it's really important for us to strive for balance. I don't know if people who tend to push themselves hard to achieve are particularly prone to fms, but I have always pushed hard and so now I am learning to go easier on myself. I think that helps with pain and stress. Good luck to you.

doesn't quite sound like cfs, although cfs could develop without improved sleep and with continued stress strain and caning of the body. if you're happy w your dr, great; this is so important...
also, perhaps dr should run a set of thyroid function tests - the anxiety and crummy sleep and spacing out and panicking and noticeable fatigue can really point to thyroid imbalance.
with the WORKING OUT - please intently listen to the feedback from your body - if it's the 'pain from a good workout', then fine; if it FEELS injurious and damaging, where your muscles are being torn down instead of being stimulated to build up - then STOP.
take care!
also, u wouldnt be able to do that kind of excersise if u had chronic fatigue, most ppl with it, find it literally impossible to get up out of bed. ur body is drained and u have no energy.
unfortunately, there is really nothing you can do if it is fibromylagia, exceot test with different things, excersise ect to see which works best at minimising the problem
well fibromylagia is when u have intense aching in the bones and muscles. is the insomnia caused by anxiety/personal problems or is it due to pain?
i dont know about cfs, but if u had fibromylagia, you could still do the excercise u do. the only thing, would be that u would be extra fatigued, and sore. sounds like you very well could have fibromylagia, although this almost certainly comes with intense pain.
i think u should try to determine what ur anxiety is caused from and ty to fix accordingly.
