Hi Melissa, I too have had motion sickness as long as I can remember and have been diagnosed with FMS. I don't know if there is any correlation (I have often wondered), but mine is also getting much worse and I get to the same point someone else said about "rolling over in bed" and the room spinning. I feel like that 3 or 4 days a week for hours at a time. There are sooo many symptoms to this thing that you feel crazy taking them all to the Dr. I write them down too, but we NEVER get to all of them or even if she did, you can't take a pill for all of it. I would never get out of bed! I have a hard enough time on the few meds I do take with the side effects. I have tried the bracelets with no luck. Am gonna try the pills someone mentioned above. Thanks for the ? and GOOD LUCK to you. God Bless!
Hi, If you don't want to take any pills, look for travel sickness wrist bands. They can be found at Walgreens with the dramamine pills. They come in a clear plastic case, are a grayish color, are washable and reusable. Priced at $9.99 for 2-one on each wrist area. Walmart may carry them also. Or pharmacies. There is no side effects, danger to pregnant women, no meds involved at all. It's for air travel, car, bus, boats and possibly meniere's disease etc. If it doesn't work, keep your receipt and return them with-in a month. Good Luck
I live in Canada. The problem here is I have insurance but it is impossible to see a new doctor as there is a big shortage all across Canada for doctors.
I wish I could find a new one too. I live in the country about 2 hours from Toronto, my husband has to take the day off everytime I have to see the doc. There are no new doc's up in my area that are taking new patients.
I have had it to the extent you are speaking of to where even if I roll over in bed I feel like I'm going to vomit. I cannot wait to see my doc because this time I'm writing down all of my symptoms. I have pages full already but I have to wait over a month to do so. I can't even get him to call me back about refilling my meds. I so need insurance so I can find a new doctor.
I am light headed and dizzy most of the time. When I look down or look up I get very lightheaded that I sometimes have to hold on to the wall. I had vertigo May 1-5 it went away. But the last time I got my injections I had a migraine for 4 mornings straight & then this light headed & dizziness started. It hasn't gone away since then that was over a month ago. I have to go see my doc tomorrow & I am going to mention it to him. It is an awful feeling. I even feel dizzy when I roll over in bed, the room spins.
Thank you Femme.... I have never heard of Hyland's Motion Sickness Pills before..... can I buy them online, do they make you tired? When I was working I worked downtown which is about a hour from my house. It was torture to have to drive that far. It would take me until bedtime to get over it. Thanks for the tip.
Oh, I have FM, and I have terrible motion sickness. My motion sickness takes the form of dizzyness and weakness more than nausea. But it is definitely a type of vertigo. I get sick if I drive for too long, or ride in a bus, etc.
And sometimes I'll have the same smyptoms if I get up and move around after sitting or having been still for a long period.
A homeopathic motion sickness remedy like Hyland's Motion Sickness pills will work wonders for you with this FM symptom !
