Fibro and the medical staff

I'm a little curious to know if any of you that have been diagnosed with fibro (or not) have any trouble with your Dr.'s medical staff?  I seem to get the snippy receptionist that sends me to the snooty nurse.
I just hung up on that situation and feel that I was totally blown off.  These people no more know what I'm dealing with that the man in the moon.  I am very upset with this predicament.  No, I'm mad and I don't know where I'm going with this, but somebody say something.

No apologies needed for venting.  You're in a place where we all understand!  It was rainy again here - was it there too, and hence the symptoms?  Any chance you can afford a trip to one of the specialists around the country?  After the rheumie you'll know if you need to take "drastic actions", or settle in with her and start moving forward.  Oh gee, I'm rambling again.  Just want to lend some sympathy and a listening ear.

Yep, same Dr.  I can't wait to see this rheumatologist in Dec.  I'm just so tired of hateful people and people thinking that it's just a made-up -illness- for lack of a better word.  It's hard to find a good doctor where we live because of our insurance.  Only a certain few take it, so I can't be too picky.  Sorry for venting so much, but today I need to.  My only day off from work and I can't get anything done because I hurt.

Is this the same OD who can't decide if you have FM or stress and sent you fuming?  If so that might answer your question.  I wouldn't be in such a good mood working with him.

Medical staff varies a lot, but there's a lot of annoyance out there these days, and it's not even CFS related.  My doctor's staff used to be fantastic and he's a CFS subspeciality.  But the last few years it's more like so-so.  Some are snippy.  Others not able to think.  Faxes and calls vanish.

Being mad when you have a reason to be mad is a good thing to do.  It helps vent it a bit so you can get past it to just plain annoyed at having an illness and people all around without a clue!
