Check with local hospitals to see if there are any support groups there. If so, you may find someone through talking with others. It is always wise to ask ahead before you make an appointment--"Is the dr. familiar with fibro, how does he/she treat it?"

If there is a teaching hospital in your vicinity, call and ask there.

Check with rheumatologists in your area but always ask questions prior to making an appointment. Using the i-net as suggested above is a good place to begin. Good luck!
