Just diagnosed today

I have just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.  I thought I might have this over a year ago but I never saw a doctor about it.  I went to a pain management doctor today and he told me that I have degenerative disc disease and fibromyalgia.  I don't know anything about this, can someone help me?  What do I do?  Today I feel like I was hit by a truck, especially after the doctor examined me.

IMO... the best thing to do if you have fibromyalgia is keep up to date on the latest research and recommended treatments by the experts. Many physicians are prescribing drugs only and I disagree with their approach and pay attention to the fibro/CFS experts:

Thanks so much for the input.  I have been trying to do research online.  For years doctors have been sending me off with pain medications and muscles relaxers.  The doctor I saw yesterday wants to try a bunch of different procedures on me.  He seems to really want to help.  Thank you again.

IMO --- In my opinion   = )

I'm not sure why my link was deleted. If you would like to check out my website, please check out my profile. I do post all of the latest fibro & CFS treatment plans (recommended by the experts). A lot of these treatment plans include supplements and that is something that many physicians do not prescribe for their patients.
