Good morning;
First I want to say that I have missed reading the posts here, but I have been so ill, my legs and arms decided that I needed to stay in bed for a while. I got the results from the tests taken at the hospital, ~~~sigh~~~ everything was normal except for my cholesterol and it was a little high, and my sed rate was high, but the doc figured that it would be before the tests were done. The MS test was also negative ( and my back is still sore after that one ). So, I go back to the doc next month for a med change.
While I've been ill with this c r u d, I ordered several books from Amazon. I am so happy that I decided to order them. I'm going to list them below.
Women and Fibromyalgia- Living with an Invisible Dis-ease.
Barbara A. Keddy, RN,Ph.D
Mrs. Keddy is also a Fibro sufferer. In this book she talks about her journey and she also speaks to 20 women about the journey with Fibro/CFS. I really enjoyed this book.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and other Invisible Illnesses. The Comprehensive Guide.
Katrina Berne, Ph.D, Robert M. Bennet MD, Daniel L. Peterson MD, ( this doctors wrote the forwards for this book.)
This book has the latest research of causes, symptoms, diagnoses and treatments. She also talks about suggestions for meeting everyday emotional challenges. She also speaks of how friends and family members can help by understanding this disease better. I'm still reading this one.
The Complete Idiots Guide to Fibromyalgia, living with Fibromyalgia on your terms.
Lynne Matallana
Laurence A. Bradley Ph.D.
I found that this book is the best one that I bought. This book is a must, and it's in layman terms( right up my alley) so that those of us suffering from fibro-fog can easily understand what we're trying to read.
I hope that this posts finds you all feeling better today. It's raining in the Houston area again so my body is refusing to let me be the boss. Take care.
gentle hugs
Angel
