gallstones

Is it possible to have gallstones after your gallbladder has been removed? Im having the same sympyons I did  when my gall bladder was removed.

I would be upset if this happened to me. Have surgery and remove GB. Then surgery again to remove another stone!!!!!! Oh! I would be very upset!!!

I am reg. in abdominal ultasound.  I have seen pts. with thier GB removed and return later
with a stone stuck in the common bile duct.  This is a left over stone not removed when the GB was.  Patients usally come in with a great deal of pain and jaundice.  Alot of them will also present with a fever.

I think it is not stones per say. If the surgeon does not remove the sludge in the bile ducts, it can feel like the same thing.
