I absolutly have a balance problem.  I stagger all of the time.  I fell into my dining room hutch saturday and knocked off a crystal piece that my daughter had given me years ago.  I have been teetering more and more since I started the Lyrica, too.  I keep a daily journal on  what my day has been like and how the new meds (Lyrica and Tramadol) have affected me since I started them on the 12th of Dec.  I also find myself not being able to talk or say a word that is in my head.  I really think that this forum needs a "Spell Check" system.  I hate having to come up with a different word than the one I want to say.  Typing can be a problem, too. What I need to know is if anyone is having urinary and/or kidney problems from the Lyrica?  My lower back has been hurting something terrible for the last few days.  May have to submit this as a new question.

Hello there,  thank u for responding! I take lyrica, but I have had no problems or side effects from it what-so-ever! I've heard alot of complaints from others who have had many side effects from it! Even people that are considering to just stop taking it & go back to suffering the pain1 that is so horrible! I'm really lucky I guessw, all meds effect other people so differently!1 My doc 1st put me on cymbalta & I only took it for that 1st daay, but it made me sicker than a dog!! I started to sweat & shake&vomit like crazy, it was really horribe! But I called my doc & he called in a script the next day for lyrica, which has been great 4 me1 I can tell its helping some ,but not enough!! So, I'm gonna ask him next week if he can increase my dosage!  Wishin u the best, Brandy

And good wishes to you.  Cymbalta is totally out.  Read on the cymbalt thread  what it did to me and to my son-in-law.  They need to take that stuff off of the market.  I see my GP next Friday, the 11th and my rheumy on the 23rd.   I just don't really know what to think about the Lyrica just yet.  She may take me off of it but my upper back pain is gone and that was the worst pain that  I had besides my hands.  Now just to get rid of the lower back pain.  Best to you, Judi

You are so right!! They should take cymbalta off the market, it is horrible stuff, it was for me anyway!!I wrote a post about it the night after it effected me so badly & so many people answered it with bad responses also, only 1 had good things to report. Did you know that the FDA is trying now to get it approved as a fibro  FDA drug!!  I think thats crazy!!

I have not heard anything about the FDA getting cymbalta approved for fibro.  May the FDA Board should try it beforehand and see how it might affect them.  I'll never take it again and I'm sure my son-in-law won't.  Crazy is not the word for it.  You know it's almost like we live in a tunnel down here, we just started see the ad for Lyrica about a month ago.  People here at work have asked me about the fibro ad and if that's what I have, so it is getting noticed. Hope you have a painfree day.  I certainly am not.  Pain is intense today and my nerves are frayed.  My attitude sucks and I just want to go home and go to bed.  Have a good day up there in KC and I'll attempt to do the same down here at the Lake.  Judi
