white matter foci

I had an mri done and they said i had several nonspecific white matter foci predominantly in the subcortical white matter, although this is not typical of the demyelinating plaques due to ms, it is somewhat prominent due to patients agewhat could this mean? I have chronic fatigue irritable bowel syndrome, mood swings, depression, muscle weakness, chronic dry eye,and also vertigo this year which I have never had in my entire life.

Did the report talk about the size of the lesions? In my limited understanding, MS plaques tend to be oval and are in specific areas, while tiny (punctate) lesions can be related to migraines, high blood pressure and smoking. I am older, but I have numerous tiny lesions even tho I haven't had any of the risk factors. I think a number of people with ME/CFS show similar lesions, but I don't know why

I just had an MRI this summer too and it showed the same thing but said it is related to migraines, high blood pressure and vasculitis, none of which I have, so we are doing a watch and see. I have ME/CFS and Fibro, plus Microvascular disease so I think too, that it's related to these issues and I am not too worried. It seems the least of my problems right now, you know? So, question your doctor more about it so you have some good answers.
