VERY WEIRD I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR PROBABLY 2 YEARS NOW AND MY DOCTOR THOUGHT MAYBE I WAS LACKING B VITAMINS SO SHE PRESCRIBED ME SOME PRE NATAL VITAMINS... WELL IT DIDNT HELP. MY TONGUE BURNS ABOUT 4-5 DAYS OUT OF THE WEEK AND IT MIGHT GO AWAY FOR A FEW DAYS OR MAYBE EVEN A WEEK BUT COMES RIGHT BACK. I HAVE GOOD ORAL HYGEINE AND I CANT FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM CAN BE . MY TONGUE WILL BURN SO BAD JUST EATING ICE CREAM OR CEREAL WHICH I THINK ITS THE MILK THAT MAKES IT BURN AND I CANT EAT HOT THINGS ANYMORE AND I USE TO ALL THE TIME. I CANT EAT LIKE TACOS OR CHILI OR PEPPERONI ANYMORE AND THERE IS OTHERS BUT CANT THINK OF THEM RIGHT NOW BUT I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM LIKE THIS BEFORE. I WOIULDNT THINK THAT I WOULD BE ASSOCIATED WITH FMS OR CFS......... BUT WHO KNOWS!!???
And here all I had to do was ask in here! :)
Mine is very minor and started in late summer, accompanied by mild inflammation of the blood vessels that faded over time (as did the symptoms). My dentist actually thought it might be another presentation of the CFS, as he said often symptoms like this are viral in nature.
At least for me, it's well within a tolerable level of irritation, and I've tried the various rememdies they suggest with the exception of the acidic drinks/foods (most of which don't seem to aggravate it in any event), so at this point, I'm just going to wait it out and see if it eventually goes away. I've been waiting 3 years for the CFS to go away, after all, what's a little burning sensation in my mouth compared to that?!?
This may help you.
