Hi , I have the same swelling in the area around my collar bone as well. I just saw the thyroid Doctor  the other day and he said  he didn't know what it;s from. My old rheumy said it was from the fibro, My hemotologist said it was from the predisone I was on perhaps a side effect. Well Ive been off predisone for about six weeks and it;s still the same. It goes up and down never normal. it's been this way for at least eight months now. I believe it's part of the fibro. The funny thing about it is my pcp said ask the hemo dr the hemo dr said ask the rheumy said " it's not because of predisone" it's the illness. Then on his "Bad Day he said ",Maybe it's what your body does". It ' s like a three ring circus.........LOL  U have to keep a sense of humor. Some of these doctors are "clowns"

Hi, I have been getting this swelling in the collarbone area, also in my arms and ankles for so long.  No doctor can tell me why.  If it was that serious, I probably wouldn't be here by now.

This is not to say you shouldn't get it checked out.  I am just assuming it's part of fibro.  I'm going to try asking my cardiologist and see if he has any idea.

I'm sorry you are having this pain gorbybelle.  I hope you are able to get into the doctor soon so you can find out what may be causing this symptom.  Sometimes the internet can be overwhelming when we try to dx ourselves.  Many times we worry over something that isn't.

Take care of yourself.

The only advice I can give you is to call your physician and let them know what is going on... so that that they can schedule you an appointment ASAP.

Good luck and keep us posted !
