other pain med

I have fibro and RA i took ultram for 8 years doesnt do anything any more pain still there i am on methatraxa and hurmria twice a month by a shot still have pain where is it coming from i also have hyprthroid to i cant spell that great as you can see lol does anyone have same pain any anymed that work so i can ask my doc i have this fibro since 2000 thanks for you help Nick

My best friend use to take Humria and she is now on Embrel 2x mo.  Her shots always hurt too.  She isn't taking anything else for pain except Aleve.  Since the Ultram isn't working for you, i'm not sure what else you could use.  Have you tried the Lidoderm patches?  Unfortunately, many physicians are still hesitate to prescribe pain medications that will work due to fear of addiction.

We do have some alternative methods you could try (they are in our Health Pages).  You could discuss this with your doctor to see if this is a possibility for you.

I ALSO TOOK ULTRAM FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND IT HELPED IN THE BEGINNING AND THEN I GOT USE TO IT AND IT DIDNT WANT TO WORK ANYMORE AND MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ME A TENS UNIT TO WEAR AND IT HELPED FOR A WHILE AND THEN THE PAIN WAS GETTING SO BAD THAT I DIDNT EVEN WANT TO WAKE UP IN THE MORININS AND SHE FINALLY PUT ME ON DURAGESIC PAIN PATCHES AND THEY HELPED A WHOLE LOT!  BUT THEN I WAS FINALLY UP TO 225 MICROGRAMS OF IT AND WAS HAVING TROUBLE KEEPING THEM ON ME  AND NOW IM ON VERY STRONG PAIN MEDICINE.  YOUR BODY GETS IMMUNED TO MEDICINE AFTER A WHILE.  *** EXCUSE SOME OF THE MISPELLED WORDS....LOL!
