Fetanyl patch for pain

Hi I am new to this site but seeking to find other people suffering like myself I am now off of work on disability. I have been through so many different medications to see what works. The dr now has me now on the fetanyl patch for pain along with oxycodine for break through pain which seems to help. The problem now is I go through this faze where all of a sudden I experience extreme fatigue where I will nod off suddenly and have no control of it. I also am experiencing extreme numbness in both my hands along with pain that never goes away. Is anyone else going through the same simular situation.

I also have periods of time where i become so tired that i drift off, my hands go numb, and my arms hurt so bad i truly wish i could rip them off...  i know that sounds crazy but its the truth... my neck and back bother me horribly as well as my legs... i have went through so many different medications it is truly sad... i start a new pain management clinic on monday and i am seriously worried... my experience with doctors *****... i haven't found one yet that truly wants to listen to me... i'm trying to figure out  a way to talk 2 this new doctor and get him to REALLY listen to me....
I understand your pain and i am sorry.... i wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy... i wish u luck and if you want to talk i am here... i find it comforting just having ppl i can talk to...

you cut out half of my message i can't remember the rest ,but if u go bto bed too early u have too muchy time to think and analyse eacg twinge stab or crawly and burning sensation in your body I sleep at 1 or 2 am.I sleep well.In the morning IIf u feel like a locomotive has hit u, take 2 ordinary analgesics, rest a little longer and u will find yourself getting up and doing things. This my applied psychological remedy as I doubt that the pain killers like panadol or tyl;enol really do much.It works most of the time though!!.THere is a problem if u r very depressed though,It will be very hard to climb up to the rim of the volcanoe that u feel u r in Some people can sympathise, but cannot understand if this is the way a person is feeling.Keep those angel blue eyes shining though if U can!! dallas

I'm not a physician, but I remember reading a recent article on the Fetanyl patch, and problems associated with it.  It may be a good idea to talk with your physician about this, and perhaps switch to a different type of pain management.  You may want to do some research on the Fentanyl patch.  Good luck, and keep me posted.
