I have this white coating on my tongue for the most of my life. I have been to the doctor for other things and I know they saw my tongue but they never said anything to me about it, neither did the dentists. I don't know what it is but I'll be sure to ask the doctor again about it, if he can't tell me then I'm going to another doctor.

My fibro dr explained that a coating on the tongue is possible with fibromyalgia.

It can also indicate an overgrowth of Candida

I have had thrush several times in the past several years. Is that a symptom of CFS?  My doctor thinks I may have Fibro.....as I have alot of the symptoms but I keep reading how these two conditions can be confused with one another. I also get this feeling that my mouth is sensitive and burning sometimes from just brushing my teeth or eating something too salty.

I had the white coated tongue this weekend. For me... this is something that has come & gone for many years now. I take Mucinex and these chinese herbs that remove dampness and then it goes away.

It might be thrush. I would see your dr. and they can give you an antibiotic, i had it last week. White coated tongue and bumps in the back, it will only get worse if you do not get an antiboitic for it.
