Burning feet sole

Hi,

My feet soul burn at night time when I go to sleep or wake up early in the morning. There are no blisters or anything. It is only burning. What could be the probable causes? Smoking ? I only smoke around 6 or 7 cigarettes a night? Dehydration? Please advise.

Sounds like neuropathy: nerve damage.
Do you consume large amounts of alcohol?  Are you a diabetic?  (you can have neuropathy from diseases caused by increased alcohol consumption and diabetes)
I would see a podiatrist to have this checked out.  Also, you should get a HbA1C test (to check for diabetes) and possibly a nerve conduction test to rule out nerve impingement.

No. I don't drink alcohol, but I smoke 6-7 cigarettes a day. I am only 27, 5'6 and 180 lb. Do you still think I need a diabetes check?

I am 78.
Hypothyroidic,Deaf,TInnitus, No diabetes, Neuological tests negative.Spine x-ray normal. smoker for 50 years.(non smoker since last 3yrs.No BP or cardio-vascular problem.
I had burning sensation in soles of my feet for 30 yrs in summer and in winter I used to have burning/cold sensation in my upper spine below shoulder blade. bothe symptoms were transient-for few seconds only.
But now since last three years I have tightness in my soles. left foot is more tifht than right one. This sensations are like putting on tight socks or walking on a cotton matress.the symptom does not respond to analgesics any medications. I took GABA for 45 days without any results.
There is no pain. I can move without any pain.I exercise regularly.I am taking Alprozalone since 17yerrs for sleep.Dose is 0.75 mg.(Can this cause side effects of tightness of my soles?) Pleas advise.

Sounds like you have peripheral neuropathy (which doesn't respond to pain meds).  Not sure where it is stemming from.  It could be idiopathic (unknown source) or drug induced.  Have you tried Cymbalta?  Recent studies show it working better than Neurontin.
