Hi, my name is Laura, and I am also 15 years old. My whole family has Acid Reflux and I'm pretty sure I have it too. I can't eat anything late at night, or else I'll be sick. Sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night with a burning feeling in my upper chest and throat. I try water, but it doesn't help at all, but I found that eating a few crackers helps a lot. Like Kirston, I also have days where I don't have an appetite at all. My dad takes prevacid, but he says that I might be too young to take medicine for Acid Reflux.

I have three questions
Can Acid Reflux make you have tonsiloths?
Are periods of no appetite associated with Acid Reflux?
Do you think a doctor will give me a  for this?

Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
Dont avoid food and pills.
You should take small frequent feeds for relief .
PPI (medication) may be taken for relief of symptoms of GERD.
It is not addictive.
Your asthma could be even due to uncontrolled GERD. Treating GERD may in this case control worsening of asthma symptoms.
