Gallstones?...were u checked for H.Pylori?....ask about that too....seems nething Gallbladder related can have this issue, so make sure they test u.
Yes, I have been referred to specialists by my gp, but that was before I had my gallestone operation and my condition worsened.
I don't have or had any trouble with coughing or with my voice, but excessive phlegm has always been a issue.
Thank you for your reply.
I shall try to ask my gp if Laryngopharyngeal Reflux could be my problem and hope there is something to be done about it.
Have u been to a GI dr or a reg PCP?
There is a condition of GERD called SILENT REFLUX, or Laryngopharyngeal Reflux .
Symptoms of Laryngopharyngeal Reflux are:
Continual throat clearing
Chronic throat irritation
Chronic cough
Hoarseness
Excessive phlegm the throat
Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)
Constant sensation of something in the throat
Swallowed food comes back up
Post nasal drainage
Weak voice
Cracking voice
Blockage of the breathing passage
Spasm of the larynx (voice box)
Wheezing
Heartburn ( but not all experience this)
This condition is a result of both UES and LES not working correctly.
And it is possible not to have typical gerd/acid reflux symptoms
