Am I Misdiagnosed with GERD .... ?

Hello Doc,
I'm Kumar , Male , Age 49.73Kgs. Diagnosed with "Reflux oesophagitis with gastritis(Final Impression)" after Oesophagogastro-Duodenoscopy. The report also says "38 CM.OESOPHAGITIS GR2" under the field of OG Junction.Other than that ECG,Sugar level, scan, lipid profile are normal. Although i was diagnosed with GERD i feel no symptoms of it, i don't have acid refluxing up my throat, no chest pain, no stomach pain.

WHAT I FEEL IN MY BODY:
Frequent burping, feeling uncomfortable on the right side of the abdomen like swelling, while going to toilet (little bit burning in anus), sometimes i feel breathing is not alright and left hand in uncomfortable. No Nauseousness, No serious pain anywhere but in leg while going bed.

MEDICATION: I have been in GERD kit antibiotics for 2 weeks(over). After 2 week medication, i kind of lost some weight, feeling tired. Now doctor stopped antibiotics and prescribed me with Rabonic 40 DSR(once a day for a month) along with vitamin tab. I took 4 tablets now but no change. Same symptoms persist. Long back i took pantocid L from a local physician which was better than this medication.

I want to make sure if i have diagnosed correctly and in right track. Thanks in advance

I would consider taking Metamucil capsules, 5 a day in the evening with a glass of water.  Remain upright for 30-60 minutes before retiring to bed.  Also take a probiotic before breakfast and before dinner.  Take magnesium citrate and vitamin D3 2000 mcg in the morning.  Stop coffee and switch to hot green tea with mint or other less acidic drink.  Do not drink milk and cut way back on other dairy.  If you need more help than this, consider elevating the head of your bed with blocks to allow gravity to help you.

Many people have GERD without the symptoms they think they should have.  They mave only have symptoms of hoarseness or asthma, for instance.

Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.

We are not medical professionals in this forum, just people with like issues/conditions sharing info and our experience on a similar journey.

If u feel ur Dr has misDX'd u, I would suggest seeing a Different Dr, but GERD symptoms can take some time to respond to meds....so try to relax and allow the meds to help u, and to aid those meds make sure u r following a modified diet and lifestyle as meds alone can not help u if u continue to eat and drink things that can trigger a flare....see Health Pages for more info-http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/list?cid=236
