Mouth symptons

I have been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia and suffer with severe acid reflux. I have ongoing issues with thrush on the back of my tongue, with small white spots and burning in the mouth. The belching I suffer from is severe and uncontrollable at times. I am taking various medications including omaprazole, 20 mg morning and night, and domperidone. I do not feel this medication has helped at all.

1)Does anyone else suffer from the tongue symptons as a result of acid reflux.
2)Any ideas on how to gain relief.
3) Can anyone advise on the success of hernia surgery.

  Both those meds are for anti fungal   and  yeast so they will only address those issues, so it was to help u get rid of thrush and will do nothing for the GERD symptoms u are having.

DO u still have thrush?

Have u modified ur diet?

Only medication I have been on as above is the Omeprazole and Domperidone.

  Both those meds are to help with the yeast, what did u take for the GERD symptoms?

The other issue is y did u have that problem, what caused it, we need to look at the root of the issue to help stop it.....

U will want to take a look at ur diet and lifestyle...smoking, can cause a GERD flare as well as alcohol and carbonated bevs....even coffee and chocolate....

Stress is yet another factor in adding to the symptoms.

At the time I was tried on Nystin, and then a week on fluconazole. Neither of these helped in the matter. 12 months later I still have the problem.

  Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.

May I ask, were u on antibiotics for ur thrush? If so, u may have a yeast issue, and I would suggest u talk to ur Dr about that and possibly  try a probiotic to help get ur digestive track balanced.

Do look into yeast issues as well,.
