Have you actually had your stomach acid pH tested to confirm you have too much acid? The most common cause of non obstructive acid reflux/GERD is insufficient stomach acid.

Recommended to try digestive enzyme supplements which can be used with high or low stomach acid to help digest food and help prevent acid reflux/GERD. To make up for stomach acid insufficiency, try betaine HCI with pepsin supplements or apple cider vinegar.

Acid blockers are short term drugs only.  The FDA made a statement to only take PPI's (such as nexium or prilosec [omeprazole]) for up to 14 days, 3 times a year.

Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.

Were u advised to modify ur diet and lifestyle in addition to taking the meds? It is important to do  this to aid  the meds...so u can get off the meds and get back to a natural balanced digestive track.

Read the article in the link I attached  for tips on how u can modify ur diet and lifestyle to help feel better.
