Diagnosed with h. pylori

I was diagnosed with h.pylori after having a breath test done, and have been prescribed by my doctor - lansoprazole 30 mg - metronidazole 400 mg - amoxicillin 500 mg. All three medacation taken twice a day for a 7 day course.I am now into the 5 th day of taking them. There seems to be no side effects, the problems of bloating, discomfort (painfull at times) that comes and goes througout the day,has not eased at all.

If these combanation of tablets were going to work, would my symptons have eased by now ?.
The doctors advice is take the full course, and go back to see her in 7 days after finishing course, if symptons persist.
I have been suffering with this off and on for 6 months. And was started to think i should go for a second opinion.
If any one can help i would be more than grateful.     Thank you

Hi thanks for the reply, ive changed my diet cut spicy & fatty food out, eating fruit & veg, have tried activia yogurts, manuka honey, cider vinegar, nothing seem to work.

The doctor tried me on omeprazoles about 6 mths ago then had me on lansoprazole once a day. After six weeks symptons were much better, and the last 3 to 4 weeks of that time, pain and discomfort were totally gone.

Then it came back boxing day with revenge, then i started taking lansoprazole back
again.
Unable to have any relief ,decided to see doctor again about 3 to 4 weeks ago and it was decided i should have a breath test, which came back 2 weeks later positive.

Hope you can help  many thanks
