Do I have LPR?

I was diagnosed with a Hital Herna as well as GERD about 9 years ago.  They prescribed me Nexium (20mg).....I took it when needed....anywhere from 1-2 pills within a month time as I don't really experience too much acid reflux.....I also had a tube procedure (EGD?) and my lower section of my oesophagus was slightly irritated........obviously the doctor said to watch your diet....so now I take Nexium each morning....even though I don't experience acid.....back in January - April I guess I experienced Bronchospasm.......constantly coughing up white crap......took various medicines like predisone for it....finally got better.....now after about 2 weeks of it gone....I seem to be coughing up the balls of white crap again.....every once in a while.......tubes still narrow (no wheezing)?  Or allergies (pollen)?  Never experienced allergies before.......or is it LPR?  This time of year, I also feel like my throat is slightly swollen and red......LRP or allergies?  Any tips would be appreciated.

It would be best to ask this of your Dr....as they can answer it but it is possible that  you may have LPR and if you were to take the meds as directed instead of as needed it may have helped to heal any damage you may have had.....with LPR most do not realize that they need the meds more then they are taking it since they may not experience heartburn from acid.

It is also possible for someone to develop allergies they never had b4 and  Post nasal drip can cause reflux....so see your Dr to find out....a H2blocker may be more benificial if it is a histamine issue .....
