Hi GERD Community. Thanks for reading my question.
I have been diagnosed with GERD which suddenly jumped into high gear the last few weeks.
I take zantax and Omezrapole daily and am eating a pretty low acid diet. I have also begun to suffer with Sciatica the last few weeks along with ache in my left mid abdominal region that extends to my lower left back area. It's seems to be hanging in there. The other night I ate a bowl of ravioli and tomato sauce followed by an almond cookie (I thought the meds would make it okay.) Within 20 minutes of eating my left side flared, ws sharper than usual, and was extremely uncomfortable for about an hour or so.
Does anyone out there suffer also with sciatica due to GERD? Or suffer from left abdominal/low left back pain from GERD? Some chiropractor sites suggest that disc issues in the neck or back may cause reflux or GERD and not the other way around. I have had neck issues in the past so it leads me to wonder if a disc issue is causing all this. or a hidden tumor? Panreatitis? inflamed colon? Food allergy?
Thanks for your feedback..please!
