Hello, yes as selmaS said, thyroid issues can cause these sensations, however there are a few other things that feel just as you describe. Do you have any breathing difficulties? what about your breathing, do you know of the diaphram and diaphramatic breathing....Have you ever felt a spasm type or contraction type sensation in the area where we think our stomach is....The acid comes from the liver and if not in sufficient quanaties as you said, yes it causes symptoms as this, the thing I found in my case was.....VOCAL CORD DYSFUNCTION....I also have the thyroid diagnosis of Graves disease amoung may other conditions of which several have no name due to some symptoms never heard of before.....THE causeation for the vocal cord dysfunction....I know it was the chemical exposure I lived in for years, 1st was the 3 1/2 year natural gas leak in my home and five years after that was gone, because of the systematic injury and breakdown of organ and sysyem failures, a long term exposure to mold...I MOVED 7 1/2 months ago and the lump is almost GONE ALL THE TIME.......The diaphram spasms are much less now also......Years ago I heard of a cure for gerd or acid reflux or the symptoms thereof , to much or to little acid.....A Teaspoon of vinegar....There have been people I told this to, who did it, and it worked...some could not stand the vinegar taste and several said it did not work....I DO NOT KNOW as I do not have those symptoms, just the something in throat and I ofter while being in the different exposure things had problems with swallowing and chocking when I ate,,,, They can put a camera down there and watch you swallow and make voice sounds to see if it is the vocal cords....I will pray that everything works out very soon to aleviate the symptoms.....BY THE WAY!!!! FOR EVERYONE READING THIS.....PLEASE....NEVER SAY......MY ((DISEASE)), or I 'm SICK, or I HAVE _ _ _ _ .....
No One should want to CLAIM a bad thing, besides if it is yours, and bad, no one else would want it......Keeping up with the Jones...GOD BLESS!!!! loimmarmar
Hi...well u said u r on thyroid meds...ur thyroid issue can cause u to feel like u have something stuck.
I wonder if u have a sinus issue or post nasal drip that could add to ur GERD issues.I also have to ask if u have modified ur diet and lifestyle...meds alone can not help u feel better if u r eating something that keeps triggering the flares.
And, ur concern if u have too much or too little acid is a very good one...has ur Dr done a PH test to determine this?.....Have u asked or discussed probiotics with ur Dr?
