baking soda , some dilute eno ...this are *******  things every one will suggest . acid reflux is the one which causes for a reason and it varies from person to person . find it and fight for it , and you will never let it to come again . you have asked how to stop and i given a permanent solution or else if you want how to stop temporarily you can use baking soda

      Lots of stuff on line.  
  Something as simple as TUMS can work wonders.   For a more severe case you can go with the quick acting acid blockers.  Avoid the total acid blockers that take 24 hours to take effect.
   Watching your diet and avoiding certain foods.    Sometimes probiotics can be helpful, but that would take time.

I use baking soda and warm water.  I also started taking iodine and other vitamins.  Ever since I started iodine, I haven't had it.
