Rebound Acid Hyper secretion after Acid related medication

Hello,

If I decided to be long term treatment On proton Pump Inhibitor will I be depended on it. I have do some research and pretty sure that this things do exist

I know that I am a very very anxious person and this question do raise my curiosity. should I increase my Zoloft dosage?

Thanks for replying. Rebound Acid Hypersecretion syndrome do Exist and many european doctor admit it while there is too few here in the USA that acknowlegde that

and some of them dont trust SSRI withdrawal syndrome also hahahahahaha

  Hi...once u take PPI's it can be diff to get off them bcuz of the rebound effect, but it can be done...I did it....it is a slow process and all depends on the root cause of ur GERD.

If ur GERD is related only to ur anxiety, then u need to learn how to relax to try to get rid of  as much triggers as possible...certain foods and lifestyle routines may affect ur GERD...so keep a journal to see what ur triggers are.

And when u do decide to get off PPI's u do need to step off them slowly a little at a time....PPI's stop acid production, when u stop taking them u body over produces so u again have too much acid and do not feel well....so u may want to talk to ur Dr about the best way for u to step off.
