Hi...once u take PPI's it can be diff to get off them bcuz of the rebound effect, but it can be done...I did it....it is a slow process and all depends on the root cause of ur GERD.
If ur GERD is related only to ur anxiety, then u need to learn how to relax to try to get rid of as much triggers as possible...certain foods and lifestyle routines may affect ur GERD...so keep a journal to see what ur triggers are.
And when u do decide to get off PPI's u do need to step off them slowly a little at a time....PPI's stop acid production, when u stop taking them u body over produces so u again have too much acid and do not feel well....so u may want to talk to ur Dr about the best way for u to step off.

and some of them dont trust SSRI withdrawal syndrome also hahahahahaha
