What's wrong with me?

I'm hoping someone can shed some light as to what may be going on with me.
On the evening of June 15, I awoke in the middle of the night to pain/discomfort in the middle chest area. It felt like an opening/closing/squeezing pain. No difficulty breathing. I also felt like I had a burp that was stuck. The next morning, I developed a weird feeling in my throat..feeling as if something was there. I could not get in to my family dr. the next day so went to an Urgent Care facility, and the doctor had no idea what it was and gave me a prescription for Zantac 300mg to be taken at bedtime, along with Mylanta. He said if it worked, then see a gastroenterologist. Initially, it did work...no more pain, and the feeling in my throat would come and go. However, in the last 10 days I have become progressively worse. I started having "fluttering" feelings in the base of my throat, where the neck meets the chest. It feels like slight pressure near the trachea, and then a flutter. I haven't had this feeling in the past week, but the sensation of something being in the throat is occurring very frequently. I have discomfort when the middle of my abdomen is pressed, discomfort in my chest area, and discomort (sometimes pain) in the throat area. Food sometimes is taking longer to go down, and I am scared to death to eat, so I've hardly eaten anything in the last 5 days. Sometimes even when I drink, it's as if the water takes long to go down too. I also sometimes feel like my ears hurt, and I get pain in my upper back behind my shoulder blades. I am a nervous wreck. I saw my family doctor on Wednesday, who thinks it's spasms of my esophagus and ordered a chest x-ray and upper g.i. series. That evening I ended up in the emergency room with a severe migraine. I told the e.r. doctor about the symptoms I was having and he dismissed them and me from the hospital. I went to the gastroenterologist on Thursday, and he scheduled me for an endoscopy but not until 7/13 and told me to take the Zantac 2x/day. I went for the upper g.i. series and chest x-ray on Thursday, and because of the holiday weekend the results will not be available to me until Monday. I did feel like what I thought to be acid in my throat the other day, for the first time.  I do not feel like I have heartburn. I also suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks. My throat and neck muscles are extremely sore and tight, almost as if I have a stiff neck.  I was doing a little better yesterday. I drank 2 Ensure, and had some cream of Potato soup. However, I had some ice cream which set off everything all over again. Has anyone ever had anything like this?
