thnk you so much for your comment and some suggestion thnks and God bless
I'm also looking for natural remedies to cure the symptoms.
I think one big thing is eat light and small, but frequently. My doctor told me to drink a lot of water, I'm not sure how that's going to help, but it probably won't hurt.
I do take a tum before I eat a meal (just one, even though the suggested is 2-4 for regular strength, I don't want to mess up my stomach too much). And one after, if needed. I'm also on nexium, and that's helping me manage my pain.
Sleep elevated; I got a wedge pillow. It's hard to adjust to it at first but you will get used to it, one way or another.
As for what to eat, there are a lot of opinions on the internet. General rule is to stay away from acidic food. Therefore, I just eat apples and really light. The greasiest foods I've had is probably stir fry that I made in my kitchen, and that's not using a lot of oil at all. I also tend to stay away from milk and carbs. A lot of vegetables and fruit should be okay (no tomatoes?)
Some people say that they drink honey and aloe vera, so you can try those too. I also take plant enzymes with pro-biotics, and they have been helping me.
You should maybe ask for another prescription of nexium if your symptoms continue. Also make sure you know it's acid reflux before treating it as is. I also had an ulcer at the time which aggravated my GERD symptoms.
