need info about gerd

i have been that i might have gerd and was put on zegerid ro see it if works.is that what you would have done?

HI and welcome to the GERD forum.

I wqould have to say yes...not sure how long u have had symptoms...or how severe ur symptoms are.
The meds u were perscribed are the first immediate time released PPI and should work faster than the traditinal PPI's.

U did not mention what testing ur dr may have done to this point or if there are plans to do some.

How r the meds working?-Please note lifestyle changes along with meds are the best way to reduce acid production including avoiding certain foods.Please see our Health Pages for the tips and foods to avoid list.

my doctor wanted me to try zegerid for to see if it helps.if not they are planning on trying something else.it might lead to surgery.i also have talked to them about have my stomach reduce by surgery.

I pray this all works for u and remember to try the tipsof lifestyle changes and foods to avoid that should help with the acid production along with the meds.
