Don't get on anxiety pills unless you absolutely have to. They can be habit forming and just trust that God is in control of your life and have hope that he is walking with you every step of the way. I have had chest pain and upper back pain for about 5 months now, but about a year ago i had chest pain so bad i thought i was having a heart attack...turns out it was my gall bladder . After they took it out i had immediate relief. I am a 25 year old female so i shouldnt be having chest pain. I had an ekg done last week and all was well. So i think it may be gerd. I have suffered from IBS since i was 13... But never gerd, my mother in law has it and thinks that i need an endoscopy, so im going to the doc next week... The biggest thing is just to trust that God is in Control , he will not give you more than you can handle. It is hard not to be anxious , believe me I KNOW. But I just have faith that I will be ok. God is faithful to us.
well i had the endoscopy and the results were that i had inflamation in my stomach. he took some samples but the result have not came back. he put me on nexium and sent me for a ultrasound of my gall bladder and they said all looked well there. i still have pain in my upper left side. the pain is not that bad but it is there. i could deal with it if i knew it was not my heart. i hate to keep asking for test, i had a ekg done last year and all was well. i hate feeling this way and do not want to be on a pill like paxal are zanex. i am thinking that this is anxiety but there is still something that says its my heart.
thanks for taking time to help. it means alot.
Hi ktrent,
Heart ailment at 31 years is very unlikely.
You might be suffering from GERD and related problems. You need to undergo -
1. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy
2. pH monitoring
3. Esophageal manometry
4. ECG ( To rule out heart problem since you are worried about it)
Since you seem to be a worried man, mental relaxation may help you.
I would suggest meditation and yoga for that.

it could be an intestinal problem. Chest pain around the left nipple is a symptom of some problem pertaining to gastroenterology. So it could be GERD.
