Hello and hope you are doing well.
Fatty food intolerance develops after gall bladder removal. In general avoid all food high in fat and cholesterol. Also avoid all food high in calories and include plenty of high fiber diet. Avoid all fried food, fatty red meat, whole milk diary products and highly processed food. Include plenty of fresh fruits, high fiber vegetables, whole grains, lean meat and low fat dairy products. Also, include yogurt with your meals. This could reduce your symptoms of diarrhea.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
I'm sorry to hear of your discomfort!
Have you told your gp about this???? It might actually take a few months for your body to adjust to not having a gallbladder.... can I ask if your diarrhea is yellow???? If it is, then it is bile, and because there is no gallbladder, the bile just runs straight into your intestines as there is nowhere to store it now and measure how much you need.....
I have a similar side-effect after my gallbladder removal. (along with other issues not necessarily caused by removing the gallbladder). Ask your pharmacist about products like metamucil.....because certain types of fibre can actually help bind up the diarrhea.
I hope you can get some relief
