gallbladder problems

I had a HIDA scan this morning and it showed that I had a 28% ejection rate....I have been having bad chest pains and the doctors think that this could be the reason. Can the 28% be enough to have it removed?

my HIDA came back at 60% or something and they took mine out - turns out it wasn't working at all despite the HIDA results. Symptom free since the surgery in April!

Hi there, yes it can depending on what symptoms you are having.  Have you been referred to a surgeon to speak with them?  Do you have other symptoms?  Nausea, vomiting etc?  Sometimes people have no symptoms at all with gallbladder issues and others have them all.  Talk with the docs to get all your options, but they will probably suggest removal if you are having alot of pain and symptoms.
