I'll mention those medications to the Dr on Monday. Thanks for the input!!
Thanks for the encouragement. That is so important to our family during this time. He goes back to the GI Dr. on Monday & I'll keep you posted. I took him to a lady who does Homeopathic Medicine 2 weeks ago, but haven't had any results to report as of yet. We'll keep trying!! Thanks again for the input.
This happened to a friends daughter, she has asthma as well and acid reflux in which both have the same symptoms. Her Dr. started her on Prilosec and a flo-vent inhaler to help heal her lungs. She was better within a few days.
Hi! I'm not a doctor, but your child is suffering and I would call every doctor in America for him. We adults can deal with a lot of things, but when it comes to a child........I can't ever see them suffering for a day. It reminds me of something that happened to me ten years ago. I was shopping and a lady in the checkout line stepped on top of my foot. I didn't think anything of it, but it started to swell. I went to the doc the next day and he was worried I might have a pulmonary embolism and sent me for testing. It was not that. I noticed that the swelling did not go down even though I put ice on it and heat. So on my journey with this swelling, I went to numerous doc's to find out what it was. I just wanted a diagnosis so I could treat it. Never happened!!! I had a MRI, CT scan, xrays, blah, blah, blah. and nothing showed anything. I had people tell me that their doc would be able to diagnosis the cause, but they couldn't. I can't tell you how many thousands of dollars I spent, only for one doc to tell me it was ideopathic edema!!! Ughhhhhh, that essentially says we don't know what's wrong with you. I gave up on the medical community and experimented myself with different things like exercising more, watching my salt intake, elevating my legs and feet, etc. It did help. And to this day if I don't rest enough it swells up. There are a lot of shoes that I can't wear, but I'm alive!!!
So all I'm saying, move the earth if you have to so you can find out what;s wrong with your son. Someone knows something out there. If you can't find someone in the medical community, then try accupuncture or find someone that treats people from the eastern civilization standpoint. Whatever it takes, just do it!!! Looks like your son is dealing with a lot........kiss him for me.
Let me know if I can help in any way, whether it's research or whatever... God Bless
