umm actually  heres the thing ;ive had colitis for a year now (since i was 15) and its not 'too young' , ive had 2 colonoscopies , and they showed it was definitly an IBD , but they couldnt tell bc. it was only in the large. intestine . so it could be colitis or chrones .
and yes i have had - blood tests ( a whole load of different kinds. )  - a biopsie, and a couple stool studies .

finnally i just wanted to say that , i dont think it was acid reflux ,.i am not , and was not really THAT sick.

idk wat it was but it went  away .

but thank you for trying to help . ( and i AM NOT doing that diet !)

Hey there!

mmm..well first thing that comes to mind chron's or ulcerative colitis, and you've had a colonoscopy before right?  And that was negative?  And now it's in remission...after steroids?

Well it could be gastroparesis..or ulcer..you could get checked for a blood test to test for ulcers, usually you have dark stools, pain in the somach upper stomach area ect.

With acid reflux my guess is you're having some allergic reaction or severe food intolerance to some kind of food because you're pretty young to be having chron's or colitis of some kind, so maybe going to an allergist and getting tested for food allergies via the scratch test would be a good idea (simple and quick..they poke your back a bunch of times..I didn't know I was slightly allergic to oats and the test doesn't lie..)

But the real quick cheap way to do it is just google food elimination diets.  Eat nothing but pears, white rice, and basic cooked meats for like 2..3 weeks and then add one item every 4 days...for example eggs..or corn..dairy...to help with reflux you don't want to lay down right after you eat, wait a good 30 mins and try to eat things that are easy to digest..like apple sauce for example.

Sounds to me like you've got a serious reaction to something causing reflux and colitis/diarrhea.  Ever had a blood test for celiac?  Stool studies?  Celiac is another big one...you could go gluten free on top of your diet for 3 weeks.  If you're sitting around sick for weeks you've got nothing to lose but to try it.  Also medication might be an issue..from a vitamin pill or tums or whatever you're taking you could be allergic to.  So i'd just go off all (with doctors approval) and see if food is making you sick.  I've learned soy totally destroys my gut.....didn't believe it but it took 4 years to figure that out.

If you've had biopsies that are negative on your colonoscopy I'd look into your diet very closely.  You can be intolerant to *anything* but if reflux gets super bad you could try prilosec it's at the grocery store or ask the doctor to give you something for it.

Good luck :S  (sorry long just firing off ideas)
