Acute Reguritation Of Food

I was here before and now I need more help. back in Feb I started having problems keeping food down. Now here we are almost May and it has come to the point where I keep nothing down.

I eat and in about 10-15 mins it comes up but not as vomit the Dr called it regurgitation. However it went down is how it comes up. I ended up so dehydrated I was in the hospital. Now I sip Gatorade all day long but still if I eat something up it comes.

I have had a gastroscopy, no problems, I have had an ultrasound, no problems. Nothing there no reason for concern. I don't know what to do anymore. I can't work now I have no energy to make it through a full day. I had one pancake yesterday and it came up. I have no other symptoms except the other day something weird happened. It was like my bowles exploded, ran out of me like water but since then nothing. It's not crohns or colitis, not acid reflux or GURD. I was put on pantaloc no help.

For the recprd .... I am not BULIMIC this is not in my head.

Has anyone ever gone through this? Help please!!!

Yes I was tested for that. I have had so much blood taken from me I am shocked I have any left in me now. I hate the lightheaded feeling that has to be the worst part of this. I so wish the meds would have worked on me.

I am thinking its something like scar tissue.  I am pretty sure that is what is happening with me.  I was trying to find if anyone else had this issue but I would google and nothing.  I am so glad I found you :)  We can be lost together lol.  I have always had some for of a regurgitation issue since I was younger.  This however is just crazy.  Have you ever been tested for H-Pylori?  I had that done but it was negative.  Maybe ask for that blood test so that you can rule that out.

Hi Ticked,

Your lucky, the pantaloc did nothing for me. So far no meds have. I can not believe there is someone else out there going through this. I am getting bad dizzy spells, my eyes go out of focus, my brain is not functioning to where it should be. I will be thinking about something and then it's gone and I usually have to ask someone how to spell simple words. I have cried myself to sleep and have my family telling me that it is all in my head and if I just eat and don't think about it, it will stop.

Like I said I have not had any major types of surgery but the tubal. I am going to ask my Dr on my next visit if this could be whats causing it. Never once thought of scare tissue.

I am having the same issue right now no lie.  I have been on pantaloc since January, cant get off it or I cant eat.   I see a surgeon May 23rd to see if he will do a lap for endometriosis.  Funny that the other poster would mention all that she did because it fits me to a "T", I had bowel surgery when I was 9 and i think that I have endo, so i have lesions and scar tissue all over I assume.  Colonoscopy was fine but the Endo specialist thinks that it there is endo on the bowels. I cant live like this and i feel like you, I am not a hypocondriac there is something wrong here.  I cant eat at all it comes right back up like i never ate it.  Very irritating.  Can eat anything. For now I would try the pantaloc to see if it helps you for now, or nexium.  The nexium did nothing for me, but the pantaloc i cant live without.

Would they not find this in an Ultrasound? The only thing I have ever had is my tubes tired when I was 20 and now I am 36. This is getting to a point where I just cry myslef to sleep. All I want is to be normal and I nave no idea whats wrong.

I have the same problem.  In my case, it's because I have scar tissue (adhesions) strangulating my bowels.  Mostly small intestines, but I have had an 18" large bowel resection done in the past because of scar tissue.  Any time the bowel system becomes blocked, food comes right back up.  Because more surgery causes more scar tissue to form, I've managed the symptoms over the years by maintaining a primarily liquid diet.  When it gets to where I can't keep liquids down, or I'm throwing up feces, it's time for surgery.

Scar tissue forms any time tissues become irritated - whether it's from infection, endometriosis or direct assault - like surgery.  Some people have formed major internal scar tissue as the result of blows to the abdomen.  Some people just grow the stuff more than others.

Anyway, you could have a sphincter malfunction, or something like scar tissue obstructing something, somewhere, in your digestive tract.  Have you ever had any abdominal surgery, or any major infections like PID?
