Black sand & black herbs like stuff in stools

Hi there. Apart from other gastro issues I have with my body at the moment this is something that completely puzzles my doctor.

About 6 mths ago I noticed this stuff in my stools. It's like black sand or ground fresh coffee beans. It occurred on and off...once a wk. But lately it's been more often. Sometimes the specks are larger, more flat & flakey, the size of dried herbs and if I rub them between some tissue paper (gross I know) they do break apart.

This morning it was especially bad. My stool was very loose and greasy and had quite a lot of black herb like flakes and black sand??? Extremely foul smelling...kind of like a burnt plastic...chemical smell. Not the usual poo smell.

I've had 5 stools tests. All have come back negative for blood and parasites etc.

I was diagnosed with 'IBS' 2 and half years ago. So far I've had an upper endoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy to look at the lower part of the bowel, all biopsies came back normal. These were taken over 2 yrs ago.

I've had tons of blood test, none of which showed any kind abnormality. I've had 2 upper abdominal ultrasounds...both completely normal.

I'm having a upper abdominal CT scan next wk for upper right quadrant pain I've been getting for a long time. Unsure if all of this is linked.

Sometimes when I eat I get instant pains and cramps in my stomach and abdomin followed by lots of gas.

That's it. So far nothing concret has been found.

Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestings?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Kind regards.
Luke

The symptoms you describe are very similar to what I have now: diarrhea, very gassy, bloated, intestines gurgling, black specks, weird chemically smell. Started a couple days ago. Also had headache and a bit of a fever to start with.

Is it a parasite?  Bacterial? I haven't ate much the last two days but my stool is very consistent in color, consistency and smell - and with the small black specks (like vanilla bean ice cream).

Did you ever figure your situation out?

research Black specks Morgellons. WHat you describe is a common complaint befor skin symptoms. Morgellons victims are being treated same as first Aides victims in early stages pegged as delusional.Morgellons victims told same.. The lack of response may be due to the synthetic biology industry which further complicates the cries for help because a lot of money invested in that industry. Those who have this apx 300k worldwide struggle together online. Look it up, and if you don't have skin symptoms it wouldn't hurt to try some simple remedies. The disease is related to a fungal biofilm along with a virus, bacteria, helminth, parasite, and unknown (manmade?) fiber that so far does not match any DNA data base. The latter is why the synthetic biology industry is in question. One common protocol to help break up biofilm, (but there is no cure as of yet), is to drink a glass of lemon water with caprylic drops or cayenne pepper. It is believed diseasestarts in gut so if you can keep in there you are better off. There is so much more to do to bring up immune system. I have Morgellons disease and all the horrible skin symptoms as described, however previously, I did have black specks, was DX with IBS, Fibromyalgia, arthritis, mmigraines, mixed connective tissue disease). The common thread among Morgellons victims is white, blue, red, green fibers that can be very fine like lint that can emerge from pores after bathing, or from sores, or specks, and sand particles of white, and black, and much more.
Good luck and if you don't have please pass the word. We are not delusional and need our fellow mankind to support us. I have 5 doctors helping me now, infectious disease, internist, DO, nutritionist, and herbalists who have seen my proof. The media is hype, and some docs jump on bandwagon with baseless opinions and no research. It is being researched through grant money from charles e holman foundation at the university of oklahoma and other private labs.

I have the same issue when I eat black beans or ANYTHING with black beans in it.

Try tracking what you eat for a while and compare it to your stools.  Something you're eating isn't getting digested.  It may be getting stuck in your intestines for a bit and coming out later too. (Ew, I know....)
