Bowel Movement Problems

I have been having an issue with blood in my stool for a little bit, but now I'm no longer having bowel movements and massive (well to me it feels/looks like a massive amount) of blood, no stool just blood.  I've been feeling nauseous a lot as well.  I don't have a primary doctor to go to or get a referral from.  I don't want to go to the ER and rack up a bill, but i'm getting nervous.

Is the blood bright red or dark brown?  I know it's a strange question but? But I've had both, bright red when I have had an anul fissure tear it stays bright red because it comes right out so to speak.  And when I had my ascending colon removed I had dark brown blood it was almost black because it had sort of like coagulated.
Either way if you are not having bowel movements and getting nausea you really need to seek medical attention right away. I hope it nothing serious, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  Good luck

Hi Nicole.

I'm not clear on this. Is it only blood coming out now?
Whatever the underlying issue might be, at this point, you must consider it as an emergency. Internal bleeding is a serious event and I don't mean to scare you, but it is one of these situations where you need to rule out anything serious that might impact your health. like "massive " loss of blood as you're describing.
If you were in an accident and lost a significant amount of blood, that would be considered a medical emergency, right?
It could be anything from Ulcerative Colitis, to Crohn's to hemorrhoids.
I hope it is nothing too serious, but my opinion is to go to the ER and have
it evaluated.
Don't let the lack of financial means deter you from going.
It's your health, your life...
Best wishes,
Niko
