Bowl Problem? Please Help!!

Please help with my problem if you can, I have been having a feeling of a heavyness inside my lower abdomen, like a fullness or pressure feeling, it feels like there is something solid inside. Occasionally I have a stabbing pain all over my lower abdomen too, like someone is sticking needles into it, and when I had this pain last night I pressed on my tummy to see if it was tender, but when i pressed on lower abdomen, i felt nothing, but when I pressed on upper abdomen-just over my naval, I got pain in my lower abdomen!! I also find it hard to completely empty my bowel, like I just can't go, and occasionally when I have to push when i need to pass wind. I also think I've got piles, although they aren't there always, but occasionally when i wipe myself I can feel a big lump on the area. I am really worried about this and find it embarressing to talk about it. Please help asap, it would be really appreciated. Thanks

Hi.  I had a colon resection, almost 7 months ago.  I am now taking fiber, daily, and eat yogurt every day.  I am curious about the probiotics, as my doc has not mentioned.  What type do you take?  Thanks.

When I first got diverticulitis, I had quite a few of the same feelings in my belly.  I was very constipated.  I don't know much about the lump, but my Dr. told me that if you get constipated and push to much you can get you hemorroids flared up. The biggest difference between us is that my belly never hurt above my belly button.  The best bet is get to see your Dr., if you have an infection it will get worse.  I waited to long the first time and I almost burst my colon.
I use probiotics to help me now.  I also use fiber.  My Dr. suggested I use both of these products.  Nothing to be embarrased about, if affects millions of people a year.

That lump has to be checked by a doctor. Next investigation is probably ultrasound of abdomen, which can show if there is any solid mass inthere.

How old are you, male or female?

A big tumor of connective tissue (fibroma) may grow anywhere in the abdomen and presses on the colon what affects bowel movements. It can be any other mass, cyst there.

It's nothing embarrasing, well, gastroentrerologists are used to more...Ultrasound of abdomen is a simple investigation, have that soon.
